Pittsburgh’s PNC Park Aims to Bring Back the Nostalgic Park Experience With the Help of Evolv
J. McGraw, the Director of PNC Park Operations for the Pittsburgh Pirates, joined PNC Park two decades ago because of the culture and atmosphere of the Park. “Our fans expect the ballpark to be first-rate and for us to anticipate their needs when they come here,” he says. “When you come to PNC Park, it starts with all the noise and chatter and the excitement of entering the gates.”
Security has been an important part of PNC Park since it opened and walk-through metal detectors were installed several years ago. “Several years ago, we determined we needed a different approach and embarked on a journey to find an efficient solution,” says McGraw. That’s when they found Evolv. Hear their story on how they selected and implemented Evolv, as well as how the Evolv Express enabled the Pirates to:
- Reduce security screening footprint by reducing from 40 manual screening stations to 12 Evolv Express lanes—a more than 70% reduction.
- Lower nuisance alarm rate with Evolv
- Help to improve NPS ingress scores.
