Detect Concealed Threats

Evolv Visual Gun Detection™️ is designed to extend the detection perimeter beyond the threshold by using AI-based analysis to identify brandished firearms in security camera streams—aiming to add another layer of security to venue operations.
AI-Powered Threat Assessment
First, the technology assesses frames of video to identify a body—it's not looking for people or trying to identify a person, just the shape of a body without reference to color, gender, or other identifying attributes.

AI technology is designed to help detect a wide range of firearms while distinguishing them from benign personal items, minimizing false positives.
Video Frame Analysis
Through a proprietary process, multiple video frames are analyzed in sequence to improve gun detection accuracy and reduce false positives. Examining the relationship between the gun, arm, and hand provides additional clarity to determine potential threats.
Situational Awareness
Rich intelligence, including photos, video snippets, and camera details, is shared with the customer's security operations or a certified monitoring center for verification. If upgrading entry, alerts can also go to the Evolv tablet stationed at or near Evolv Express.
