The First College to Deploy Evolv, Cape Fear Community College’s Wilson Center Renews Evolv Relationship for Improved Efficiency and Guest Experience

Cape Fear Community College was the first college to deploy Evolv technology, implementing Evolv Edge® systems in 2019 at its Allan & Laura Wilson Humanities and Fine Arts Center to enhance security screening and improve the guest experience.
Building on the success of that deployment, CFCC renewed its relationship with Evolv in 2023, upgrading to an Evolv Express® dual-lane system to further improve screening efficiency, streamline operations, and support a positive arrival experience for guests.
Cape Fear Community College has been able to achieve the following with its Evolv Express system:
- Reduced the number of staff required for security screening from 12 to 4
- Cut average time for secondary screening checks to 10-15 seconds
- Identified and tagged 47 firearms through Evolv Insights® in 2023
- Increased screening throughput and reduced security queues during peak arrival periodsd
