(Still) More Champions Choose Evolv
Congratulations to the LA Galaxy, winners of the MLS Cup this past weekend with a 2-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls. The victory was the team’s sixth league championship (and tenth total Finals appearance), further cementing their position as the winningest team in Major League Soccer. The victory caps a regular season in which they shared the top of the points table with regional rival LAFC and a playoff run in which they scored a record 18 total goals in five games and outscored their opponents by 14 goals.
Evolv is the Official Fan Screening Partner of Dignity Health Sports Park, the Galaxy’s home field and site of the Cup Final. The victory makes this the second consecutive year in which an Evolv customer hoisted the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy, after last year’s win by the Columbus Crew at Lower.com Field. The Galaxy also join the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on the list of Evolv customer venues with 2024 team championships. And the total champion venues list, which now totals eight teams (Los Angeles Rams 2021; Colorado Avalanche 2022; Houston Astros 2022; Denver Nuggets 2023; Las Vegas Golden Knights 2023; Columbus Crew 2023; and Boston Celtics 2024).
This impressive run of success means I can now say with even more conviction that “Champions Choose Evolv.”
One key benefit to these organizations of selecting Evolv for ingress screening was made clear to viewers of the MLS Cup Final on TV – and those lucky enough to be there in person – within the first few minutes of the game. The crowd at Dignity Health Sports Park was absolutely electric from the opening kickoff, propelling the home team to two goals in the first 13 minutes. It’s easier to deliver this kind of home field advantage when the fans can get to their seats quickly and conveniently, with nothing to distract them or take away from their role as the “12th man.” It’s the job of folks on the business and operations side of pro sports teams to help make this happen, and I’m proud that almost 60 pro sports teams and venues in North America have selected Evolv to help them deliver of this critical mission. They all aspire to be best-in-class on and off the field.
Congratulations again to the LA Galaxy. Evolv now has 13 pro football customers, so who knows, maybe in about two months I’ll have a reason to write another blog titled “(Even) Still More Champions Choose Evolv.”
