Regardless of the Standings, Pro Football Fans Win

Another NFL season is underway. For me, the NFL off-season seems to fly by. Maybe that’s because there’s always NFL news of some sort, from Free Agency to the Draft, from Rookie aspirations to veteran contract dramas. Now that news cycle ends and the real thing starts, with an opening weekend spread out over five days and spanning two continents.

Home games for Evolv’s pro football customers – we’re up to 13 now, by the way – started strong last Sunday. I remember from my time working on the business side at teams that the first home game of the season was a time of mixed emotions. It was of course exciting because games are what the sports business is all about. But it was also mixed with a realization that so too is winning, and folks on the
business side at teams can’t really control that. The offseason is when sports business people make their biggest contributions, and then they have to just accept what comes to a certain degree once the games start.

One strategy to counteract that loss of control is by doing everything possible to ensure that game attendees have a good experience win, lose, or draw. I’m proud that Evolv can be a useful part of that strategy and empower sports business people to really make a difference. When a stadium, arena, or ballpark installs an Evolv solution, fans win. The system is designed to improve the overall guest
experience.

Pro football fans of course want their team to win, and are understandably happier when they do. But for every winner there must be a loser, and there can only be one champion every season. The real win is just enjoying the experience of being a fan. If part of that experience includes going to live games, then hopefully Evolv contributes to your satisfaction in some small way.

Best wishes to Evolv’s pro football customers and to football fans everywhere. Enjoy the season!
