NFL Kickoff Highlights Benefits of Continuous Improvement On and Off the Field

Is it just me, or did the NFL offseason fly by this year? Can the first game of 2025 really be tomorrow night? Has it really been almost 30 weeks ago that the Eagles won their second league championship? I guess between the Combine, Free Agency, the Draft, and Training Camp, there’s just so much year-round pro football content that the offseason never has a chance to slow down or drag on.
The same holds true for us here at Evolv. Thankfully, activity with our pro football customers and all our other sports and entertainment customers never has an offseason or takes a break. In fact, teams and venues often use the relative quiet of an “offseason” – which, by the way, isn’t so “off” due to concerts, shows, and other events – to make infrastructure upgrades and other improvements to the fan experience. It’s an example of the same commitment to continuous improvement that sports teams show on the field of play.
We also embrace that commitment, and we’ve been busy over the past few months delivering on it. Most notably, we’ve been steadily rolling out our Gen2 Evolv Express® systems. Most have gone to new customers, of course, but a gratifying number have been delivered to existing customers who have elected to swap into the latest technology to take advantage of improvements in mobility, ease of deployment, and other enhancements. Through our unique subscription business model, customers get access to the latest software updates and can upgrade to the latest hardware, making the upgrade process simple, operationally and financially.
With 13 total pro football teams using our systems for every home game, we look forward to welcoming more in the future. If I‘ve learned one thing in my years in the sports industry, it’s that almost no team wants to be left behind the competition, on the field or off.
I can say with great confidence that no fan base wants to fall behind, and they expect continuous improvement in exchange for their continuous loyalty. We’re proud to be able to play a part in keeping that cycle of fandom going.
